Scents and flavors are known to be highly linked with memories. As a visit to Tar has so far been mostly characterized by the flavors of olive oil, wine, fish and cheese, the Tourist Office of the Municipality Tar-Vabriga Torre-Abrega decided this summer to provide the locals and all its visitors, with an olfactory experience and memory of our town.

ProfumaTorre, the scents of Tar-Vabriga, as the word itself says, will leave a fragrant memory in our senses and, every time you smell ProfumaTorre in your home, you will remember the moments spent in this small coastal town located not far from the sea.

ProfumaTorre is the ideal scent for all houses and apartments where our guests stay, because the scent that will greet them in the accommodation from the moment they arrive will further encourage them to explore the place and everything it has to offer.

At the same time, ProfumaTorre is also intended as a souvenir that can be given as a gift to a guest or to any visitor who comes to our destination.

All of this was designed in cooperation with the company Svijet biljaka (The world of plants) Ltd from Vodnjan, so the guest will take home a real Croatian product.

In addition to ProfumaTorre, there are also cute magnets, which everybody likes to buy on trips. Our magnets have typical motifs of our municipality, and will have a symbolic price. They can also be purchased at the La Botega shop.

The Tourist Office of Tar-Vabriga also hired local forces for the production of magnets, specifically a married couple, artists from Tar who have a trade in the production of unique ceramics named Total Art. Magnets have motifs of olives, towers, fish and our Peninsula; it is up to you to decide which one you like best.

Creating autochthonous souvenirs has a number of advantages for a tourist destination. In addition to reflecting the authenticity and spirit of local culture, they provide visitors with a unique experience, but also contribute to the local economy, supporting local businesses and small artisans.

Souvenirs are a nice way to promote and raise the popularity of our municipality, thus attracting the attention of new tourists. Finally, such souvenirs encourage sustainable tourism, because they increase awareness of the importance of preserving cultural heritage and tradition.
